Art Exhibit Extravaganza 2013: a postdoc appreciation week event

An email soliciting submissions for an upcoming visual arts exhibit, in celebration of Postdoc Appreciation Week, was recently sent to the NeuWrite West mailing list. The event sounds like fun, and I know we've got some talented postdoc's out there, so I've reposted the message in it's entirety below.

Dear  Postdocs,

The SUPD Art Committee is organizing a Visual Art Exhibit for the postdoc community, “Art Exhibit Extravaganza 2013”. Postdocs (plus significant others) from all Stanford Schools and affiliated institutions are encouraged to apply.

This is a unique opportunity for you to share your artistic talent with the postdoc community at large and to expand your horizons.

The SUPD Art Exhibit Extravaganza will keep you entertained during Postdoc Appreciation Week ( September 16 -20th) at The Lorry I. Lockey Stem Cell Research Building. It will feature paintings/drawings, photography/industrial design, sculpture/pottery and mixed-media works. There is no specific theme, so be creative!

Attached is the flyer of the event. If you are interested in submitting your art work, please click on the link below and fill out the online submission form. The deadline for submission is Friday, August 23rd . Email the SUPD Art Committee at SUPDART@gmail.com if you have any questions.
